Frankfurt drop out the race for West Ham striker Fullkrug ahead of January window
Frankfurt are no longer in the mix for Niclas Fullkrug, according to Sky Deutschland in a huge blow for West Ham.
Sky Sports transfer expert Florian Plettenberg revealed last month that the German striker wants to leave the Hammers in the upcoming window.0
This comes after the 31-year-old forward has a shoddy return of three goals in 26 appearances since joining for 327M from Borussia Dortmund in 2024.0
The 32-year-old would prefer to return to his home country, and the Bundesliga looks like his best bet at turning his form around in the twilight of his career.0
However, Sky Deutschland report that potential club Frankfurt have pulled out of the race and are no longer interested in the veteran, who are failed to live up to expectations in the Premier League.0
With zero goals in eight appearances, five of those being starts, Fullkurg is far from hot property. However, the Premier League is tough and a move to the Bundesliga where he has a better chance at scoring could transform into the player West Ham wanted to sign.0
A new striker needs to take the German’s place in January if West Ham want to stay afloat in the Premier League, and reports suggest that Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli may be willing to sell Ivan Toney to the London side.0
