Crystal Palace prepare to cash in on contract rebel Jean-Philippe Mateta

Crystal Palace are reportedly ready to cash in on Jean-Philippe Mateta as contract talks with the striker stall.

The South London club have been in talks with Mateta, 28, over a new deal since last season but little progress has been made.

Mateta’s current deal with the club is set to expire in the summer of 2027, and Palace don’t want to miss out on a fee like they will win Marc Guehi.

According to The Sun, Oliver Glasner’s side will be open to offers for the Frenchman in January, when they are likely to get the best possible fee.

The report adds that Serie A giants AC Milan are particularly attentive to Mateta’s situation as they seek to bolster their attacking options.
