Amorim explains dropping Yoro from Man United line-up and De Ligt absence for West Ham
Man United boss Ruben Amorim left defender Leny Yoro out of the starting line up for the game against West Ham with Matthijs de Ligt also absent.
Yoro, 20, was visibly angry when Amorim hauled him off in the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace having given away a penalty.
The Frenchman was then dropped for the game against West Ham on Thursday (December 4), with Noussair Mazraoui taking his place as one of three changes.
Matthijs de Ligt was also left out due to a small injury he picked up against Palace, giving Ayden heaven a rare chance to impress.
Speaking to Sky Sports just ahead of the game when asked about Yoro, Amorim said: "As a manager, we need to think about everything.
“I spoke to Leny, not about leaving him out but about the message. He is so disappointed, but it is a tactical issue. It is a clear option and a tactical option. Today we need to win, no matter what.”
