Agent ponders if Juventus will recall Arthur from Gremio loan

The agent of Arthur Melo expects him to complete his loan with Gremio.

There has been talk of Juventus recalling Arthur in January as new coach Luciano Spalletti seeks to add extra steel to his midfield.

But agent Federico Pastorello told TMW: "Before going to Brazil, we considered staying with Juventus, but there was another coach. Now I think Spalletti is looking for a player with more physical attributes, more impact.

"I don't know if Arthur is that type of player. Plus, he's doing extraordinarily well for Gremio. We hope Ancelotti recalls him to the national team because he's truly performing at a very high level in Brazil.

"The player is still owned by Juventus, but the goal is to complete this loan, which runs until next June. I don't see any big surprises; he's very happy with the choice he made, especially because he needs consistency."

Arthur's loan runs to June 2026, though includes the option to extend to December 31.
