Ex-Chelsea and Tottenham ace Werner 'in talks' over move to Messi's Inter Miami

Former Chelsea and Tottenham forward Timo Werner is reportedly in talks over a move from RB Leipzig to Lionel Messi's Inter Miami.

Werner, 29, returned to RB Leipzig back in 2022 following an unsuccessful two-year spell with Chelsea before then heading to Tottenham on loan last season.

Now back with the German club, Werner has found himself out in the cold under Ole Werner and has only played a single minute in the Bundesliga.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the striker’s representatives are now in talks over a move to Messi’s Inter Miami.

Werner’s current contract with RB Leipzig is set to expire at the end of the season, and a move to the MLS is looking most likely with no talks over an extension planned.
