Transfer news & rumours LIVE: Real Madrid pull plug on move to sign Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konata

Chelsea return likely as Jackson fails to impress at Bayern

Nicolas Jackson will return to Stamford Bridge at the end of his loan spell at Bayern Munich, as it is impossible for the Chelsea striker to reach the requisite number of appearances to trigger the obligation to buy clause in his deal. The 24-year-old joined the German champions this summer on a year-long loan, after forcing his way out of the west London club.

Man City set for tug-of-war with Man Utd & Liverpool for PL star

Manchester City have entered the race to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson, triggering what is expected to become a fierce three-way transfer battle with rivals Manchester United and Liverpool. The 23-year-old has rapidly evolved into one of England’s most complete young midfielders, and interest in him has escalated to the point where Forest now privately value him at £100 million ($132m).

Spurs consider permanent deal for Kolo Muani

Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up the option of securing Randal Kolo Muani on a long-term basis following his standout display in Europe. The forward, currently on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, has endured a mixed beginning to life in North London but delivered a breakthrough performance against his parent club in the Champions League. According to Dean Jones via TEAMtalk, Kolo Muani’s explosive outing has prompted a shift in Tottenham’s internal discussions.

Jones said: "Tottenham were so happy to sign Kolo Muani, and now we are starting to see his true qualities. They always felt that when he was back to his usual sharp self, they would have one of the best goal scorers in the league, and his finishing in Paris this week was a sign of that.

"They think there is so much more to come from him, and there is still every chance that this could turn out to be a longer-term signing. He’s looking for somewhere to thrive and feel happy, and Spurs need someone they can rely on for goals. This loan spell suited everyone, but I know that Spurs do have an eye on trying to make it permanent if it works out. If he stays fit and is in form, then Spurs won’t have to sign a striker in January and can focus on a wide attacker, as initially planned. With Solanke and Kolo Muani as the main strikers, they could be in good shape – it’s just knowing whether they are going to be out there frequently enough. If Kolo Muani is a success, then it really helps Spurs out, not just for this season, but maybe beyond that too."

'That was a mistake!' Liverpool told they should have kept star

Ex-England, Chelsea and Manchester City winger Sean Wright-Phillips has given his verdict on Liverpool's struggles this season, claiming it was a mistake to allow Luis Diaz leave for Bayern Munich without a like-for-like replacement. The Colombian completed a £65.5m ($87m) transfer to the Bavarian giants in the summer, with the Reds acquiring central attackers in Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak.

Allegri: Pulisic likely to miss AC Milan clash with Lazio

Christian Pulisic’s impressive season for AC Milan has hit another setback, with manager Massimiliano Allegri revealing the American is expected to miss this weekend’s Serie A matchup against Lazio. The winger, who scored the decisive goal in Milan’s derby win over Inter, withdrew from training on Wednesday due to muscular discomfort, raising concerns about his availability for the upcoming fixture.

Guardiola speaks out on Silva future

Pep Guardiola has refused to rule out a transfer for Manchester City star Bernardo Silva, hinting that the Portuguese might leave next summer.

He said: "I want the best for Bernardo, and if he wants to stay at City I will be more than delighted and happy. I want the best for him. He spent 9 years here, at the end he will decide with the club what is the best."

Man City & Arsenal eye Elche midfielder compared to Pedri

Manchester City and Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the progress of Elche midfielder Rodrigo Mendoza, who is often compared to Barcelona's Pedri for his style in the middle of the park. La Liga giants Real Madrid are also keen on the 20-year-old, with a transfer battle expected to heat up for the Spaniard heading into the winter and summer windows.

'Slot's end is near' - Liverpool legend claims boss facing sack

Dietmar Hamann has said Liverpool boss Arne Slot has "lost control of his team", and that the Dutchman's "end" is near. The Champions League winning midfielder suggested Reds fans will be longing for the sensational return of Jurgen Klopp, after Slot's side fell to their ninth defeat in 12 games with a chastening 4-1 home loss to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.

Liverpool hero suggests Wirtz could go out on loan in January

A Liverpool legend has suggested £116 million summer signing Florian Wirtz could leave the club on loan in January. Much was expected of the German international when he joined for a then-Premier League record fee, an amount that has since been surpassed by Alexander Isak. And amid his Reds struggles, an ex-Anfield favourite thinks a short-term switch for the 22-year-old could be in the offing.

Sunderland eye €30m swoop for AC Milan's Gimenez

Sunderland are preparing a stunning €30 million (£26m) move for AC Milan striker Santiago Gimenez, with reports in Italy claiming the “monster offer” has already satisfied the Rossoneri hierarchy. They are ready to accept a loan-with-obligation deal in January, leaving the Premier League side now working to convince the hesitant Mexico international to join their ambitious project.

The proposed €30m deal is highly appealing to AC Milan, who are eager to secure funds for their own striker search in January. According to La Repubblica, the offer is “adequate to avoid capital losses” and provides crucial liquidity to unlock their incoming transfer plans. The Rossoneri signed Gimenez from Feyenoord with high expectations, but his limited output and stylistic mismatch under Allegri have prompted a willingness to let him go immediately.

Real Madrid pull plug on Konate chase after drop in form

Real Madrid have reportedly abruptly ended their interest in Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate amid his poor form for the club. The France international is in the last year of his contract and so far has shown no signs of extending his stay on Merseyside. However, his hopes of a dream move to Los Blancos appears to be over ahead of the January transfer window.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool tried to extend Konate's deal way back in 2023. But fast forward to the present and it is uncertain where he will be playing in 2026. The report states that Madrid have informed Liverpool they now have 'no interest' in signing the 26-year-old. That could strengthen the Reds' hand in the contract negotiation stakes, although Konate will be able to talk to foreign clubs in January in regards to a possible pre-contract agreement for the summer.

The Magpies are keen on reinforcing their first-team squad by signing a versatile midfielder in the winter transfer window. So, the 24-year-old AS Roma mainstay has emerged as a target for the Tyneside outfit.

Postecoglou tipped for shock return to management with PL strugglers

Ange Postecoglou has reportedly been tipped for a shock return to management with Premier League strugglers Leeds United, but is likely to face competition from Brendan Rodgers. The Whites find themselves in the relegation zone, winless in their last four matches and spiralling into a crisis that now threatens to sweep away manager Daniel Farke, only months after he masterminded a 100-point promotion campaign.

PSG add Rashford to their transfer wishlist

Paris Saint-Germain have identified Marcus Rashford as a priority target, according to Fichajes. Rashford has enjoyed a major upturn in form since his summer switch from Manchester United to Barcelona. The England international has become a central figure under Hansi Flick, already amassing 15 goal involvements across all competitions and establishing himself as one of the club’s most productive performers.
