Man City and Arsenal ready to compete for signing of 'next Pedri'

Man City and Arsenal have both reportedly entered the race to sign Elche midfielder Rodrigo Mendoza, who has been compared to Barcelona superstar Pedri.

According to the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola’s side are the latest to show an interest in Mendoza, 20, who has been compared to Barca ace Pedri.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have been scouting the Spaniard for some time, viewing as a potential long-term addition to Mikel Arteta’s midfield.

It’s understood that Mendoza has a of 317.5 million in the contract he signed this August, which has seen several top sides confirm their interest.

Real Madrid are also very interested in signing Mendoza, while Cesc Fabregas’ Como and Juventus are hoping to bring him to Italy.
