Burnley keeper Dubravka: Chelsea won in small details
Burnley goalkeeper Martin Dubravka was left frustrated after their 2-0 home defeat to Chelsea in today's early kickoff.
Chelsea won thanks to goals from Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez.
“We’re disappointed, we worked so hard to get a result we wanted. They scored a first goal and afterwards we tried to chase and create half a chance but unfortunately, they punished us in the last minutes," said Dubravka.
“It’s frustrating because you really try, you push, but you don’t get the results.”
Asked if Chelsea won through being more clinical, the Slovak continued: “Yes, if you don’t score the goals that’s the disappointment, but we’re winning together, we’re losing together, so we stick together. Obviously, we need the points because we’re in a position where every point counts.
“I think in the build-up we showed bravery and quality. They let us play I have to say. So, there were a few good bits. But we’re playing against a good side, it’s always going to be difficult. There were loads of positives but again, we didn’t get a result.”
He added, “It is about the small margins, small details, we can go on and on in previous games where we’ve played well but unfortunately, we didn’t get anything from the game.
“We’ve played a top side and even against this side and against top players we did well I have to say. There were a few moments where we might be a little bit more clinical, but we have to be brave, we have to take opportunities. We’re working on it and hopefully the points will come.”
