Chiellini reveals Juventus "are working on new deal for Kenan Yildiz" as interest grows

Juventus’ Head of Football Operations Giorgio Chiellini has revealed that the club are working on a deal for Kenan Yıldız.

In 14 games this season for Juventus, Yildiz has scored three goals and provided four assists under manager Luciano Spalletti, who is keen to lock down the forward to a new deal amid interest from top sides.0

Reports this week suggested that the Turkish international’s contract talks have stalled so far and the club are struggling to agree to terms considering interest from Chelsea who are hoping to bring in another forward.0

However, Chiellini has given an update this week which suggests that the club are not rushing into a deal and are relaxed about tying the 20-year-old down to fresh terms.0

Yildiz is capable of playing on both wings, as a number 10 and even as a second striker, something that is attractive to Chelsea whose attack has been underwhelming so far this season.0

Arsenal are also interested in Yildiz who is said to desire a wage of around €6m-a-year, something Juventus cannot offer. Reports state that the Italian side will look to hold out for a fee of €100m, a fee that Chelsea will be ready to match if he does not sign a new deal.0
