Semenyo rejected Man Utd! Amorim had 350M bid turned down as January approaches
Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo rejected a move to Manchester United and Tottenham this summer.
News emerged this week that Semenyo has a 365M release clause in his contract at Bournemouth that must be triggered by a certain date in the January transfer window as top sides rush for his signature.0
Bristol City, who sold Semenyo to Bournemouth for 310M in January 2023, are entitled to 20 percent of any profit, whilst reports state that the winger is content with the Cherries and isn't pushing for a January exit.0
Now, as reported by The Telegraph, United and Tottenham both had bids of 350M rejected by Bournemouth during the summer before the 25-year-old signed a new deal with the club.0
With Semenyo’s release clause sat at just 365M, United and Spurs would have to pay just 315M more to potentially secure his services, which looks like a deal in the modern transfer market.0
Semenyo is enjoying an outstanding campaign with six Premier League goals, trailing only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (14) and Brentford’s Igor Thiago (eight). He is arguably the best talent in the English top flight at the moment and could find himself at a new club over the next few months.0
The Cherries will do their best to fight off any suitors, but top clubs such as United and Liverpool will likely make bids, much like what happened with Liam Delap when his release clause was revealed at Ipswich Town. 0
Semenyo has not asked to leave Bournemouth and his release clause will become active again this summer, but at an even lower fee.0
