Guardiola tracking Cologne prospect Said El Mala

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has taken a strong interest in FC Cologne winger Said El Mala, with Sky Sports Deutschland reporting that the Premier League champions have deployed scouts to monitor the teenager’s recent performances. The 19-year-old has emerged as one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting young wide players, prompting growing attention from Europe’s elite clubs.

Both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also keeping tabs on El Mala, though securing a deal may prove challenging. Cologne recently tied the winger to a long-term contract running until 2030, and the club is said to be demanding a fee in the region of €40 million to even consider a sale.

Arsenal learn worrying extent of Gabriel injury

Arsenal look set to go through an extended period without key centre-back and squad leader Gabriel. The Brazilian defender has become a crucial part of the success Mikel Arteta's team has enjoyed in recent seasons, both as a defensive force and a threat at attacking set-pieces. But in the same way that a William Saliba injury derailed their 2022-23 Premier League title challenge, losing Gabriel is a huge blow.

Tuchel reveals plans to phone 60 unselected England players

Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he plans to phone 60 unselected England players as the Three Lions boss has a blueprint set for the 2026 World Cup squad. Fresh from completing a flawless Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, with eight wins and no goals conceded, the German coach has revealed his next task is not tactical, but conversational.

Man Utd legend urges club to avoid Wharton

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has been urged to steer clear of signing Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton as there is too much hype around him. United are in the market for a new central midfielder either in January or more likely in the summer of 2026 after prioritising strengthening in other areas in the squad last window such as attack and goalkeeper.

How Bayern transfer call left Antony 'really shook up'

Ex-Manchester United winger Antony has admitted that the decision to turn down Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window was driven by a desire to prioritise his family, with Real Betis and the life he had started to build in Spain ultimately the better choice in that respect. The Brazilian was on loan with Betis last season and made that move permanent in September.

Perez eyes 10% Real Madrid sale after €360m Bernabeu windfall

Florentino Perez has moved to reshape Real Madrid’s financial future, preparing to sell a 10% stake through a newly created commercial company after already securing €360 million from Bernabeu-related profits. The president outlined the plan to club members, insisting it will “protect us as an institution” and allow Madrid to raise funds without becoming a public limited sports company.

Premier League trio circle Bournemouth star

Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are all evaluating a potential move for Antoine Semenyo, according to reports from Sky Sports. Semenyo’s contract contains a £60 million release clause, plus £5m in bonuses, which can be triggered at the start of January. The 25-year-old only recently committed to a long-term deal at the Vitality Stadium but insisted on including the clause due to his ambition to move higher up the football ladder. With Ghana missing out on the Africa Cup of Nations, Semenyo will remain available for club duty throughout the busy winter period, adding to his attraction for potential suitors.

Sancho holds transfer talks with three Turkish clubs

Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho has reportedly held transfer talks with three Turkish clubs amid his latest underwhelming loan spell.

According to Caughtoffside, Sancho and his representatives were spotted in Istanbul during the international break, where they held meetings with officials from three Turkish Super Lig giants, Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Galatasaray. The meetings took place at a luxury hotel where each club presented their long-term vision and plan to the English winger.

Sell Salah? Ex-Liverpool star explains why transfer is possible

It remains a possibility that Liverpool could sell Mohamed Salah at some stage, David James has told GOAL, despite the Egyptian superstar signing a new contract at Anfield.

The ex-England international said: “Liverpool didn't have to sign Mo Salah and Mo Salah didn't have to sign for Liverpool. I mean, in the end, the deal that he signed would have been right for both parties. And I think if there came a time, and I know Liverpool aren't unique in this, but most of the reasoning behind signing players will be the numbers they're producing. So you could envisage a situation where Mo's numbers aren't what Liverpool need. And if there were a potential suitor somewhere else, then I'm sure with conversation, because Mo does have a say in it, that Liverpool would be willing to let him go. Under contract, I don't think I could see a situation where Mo's going to hang around just to get paid. I think there would be a situation where, through conversation because I know the dialogue with Liverpool is always really good, that the two parties would sit down and discuss the future."

Thiago Silva in line for shock reunion with USMNT star Pulisic

Thiago Silva is wanted back at AC Milan, according to reports, with the Rossoneri looking to reunite the South American centre-half with his former Chelsea team-mate Christian Pulisic.

Benzema back to Madrid?

Legendary former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has opened up on the possibility of a return to the club, with the Frenchman claiming that he can "never say no" to club president Florentino Perez.

Speaking to AS, Benzema said: "Why? (Laughs). He's someone I can never say no to. Florentino is special. If Florentino is still there, it could happen, it could happen. I talk to him and it's possible. I'm a Real Madrid fan. I feel it in my soul. Madrid is still my city, I feel like a Real Madrid fan and a Madrileno. We'll see what happens. If he's there. It will always be my team. I still watch the games whenever I can. It's the best club in the world. It always has been and it always will be. It's a team with a lot of potential that I think can do more than it's doing right now."

Man Utd learn price tag for long-term target billed as Casemiro replacement

Manchester United have reportedly learned the current price tag for a long-term midfield target who has been billed as a replacement for Casemiro.

According to Record, the Premier League giants first identified Wolves' Joao Gomes as Casemiro's long-term replacement in 2024 when he was valued at £40 million ($51m). However, talks never progressed and then-manager Erik ten Hag later signed Manuel Ugarte instead. Gomes is now willing to make a move in the January transfer window amid Wolves' on-field struggles and could be snapped up for around £44m ($58m/€50m). The Red Devils consider Gomes as a cheaper alternative to Anderson or Baleba and could place a formal bid once the window reopens.
