MARC CUCURELLA likes pushing his luck on the pitch – and the Chelsea star has also risked infuriating his long-term partner with a shock social media post.
The Spaniard has already picked up four bookings in the early stages of the season.
Cucurella joined Chelsea in a £62million move from Premier League rivals Brighton in August 2022.
And the left-back has also played a key role in Spain sealing qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
But he could feel his Wag Claudia Rodriguez’s wrath after posting a cheeky comment to celebrate their anniversary.
Cucurella posted on Instagram: “Los ocho años más largos de mi vida.”
Those words translate to “the longest eight years of my life”, while he added a laughing emoji.
Cucurella has three children with his long-term girlfriend – Mateo, Rio and Claudia.
Mateo was diagnosed with autism soon after Cucurella’s big-money transfer to Chelsea.
The 27-year-old and his partner opened up on the emotional strain of their son’s autism when they appeared on series two of Amazon Prime’s Married to the Game.
Rodriguez said: “We saw that some things were different from the other kids.
“We didn’t find too much help from the school and we had our worst months.
“Every day we went together to drop Mateo off – I was pregnant with Rio as well – and we went back home every day crying.”
Cucurella could be seen breaking down in tears after hearing his Wag speaking openly.
He then said: “Okay, your kid is autistic, but the parents are not ready with this so we need to learn a lot.
“When we speak about Mateo we always…” before choking up and adding: “Ask Claudia now, I will come back soon.”
