Man Utd assess Benjamin Sesko injury after international withdrawal
Manchester United have been handed a significant boost after scans revealed Benjamin Sesko has avoided a serious knee injury, despite having to withdraw from Slovenia duty last week.
The former RB Leipzig striker is now expected to miss no more than a month, easing fears of a prolonged absence as the Red Devils approach a crucial winter schedule.
Sesko raised alarm when he was forced off late in the 2-2 draw with Tottenham, having gone down clutching his knee following a collision shortly after coming on as a second-half substitute.0
After withdrawing from Slovenia’s World Cup qualifiers against Kosovo and Sweden, he returned to Carrington for further evaluation.0
Scans confirmed no major ligament damage, and he has since begun rehabilitation in Manchester under the club’s medical team.0
Sky Sports report he could be sidelined for “at most” a month, meaning he is likely to miss upcoming Premier League fixtures against Everton, Crystal Palace, West Ham, and potentially Wolves and Bournemouth.
