Villa move for young Madrid striker Garcia

Aston Villa have stepped up efforts to strengthen their attack by targeting Gonzalo Garcia. Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that Madrid have already received a proposal from Villa worth around €20 million. The bid places the Midlands side among the frontrunners, though they aren’t alone in the chase. Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers have both made enquiries, signalling a competitive race for the young attacker’s signature.

Bayern open door for Boey exit

Bayern Munich are willing to consider offers for full-back Sacha Boey when the January window opens, according to reporting from Christian Falk. The defender’s situation has attracted attention across Europe, with Juventus once again emerging as a club monitoring developments after tracking him for several windows.

Amorim makes transfer decision as Man Utd eye TWO priority signings

Ruben Amorim is determined to make Manchester United stronger as they reportedly target two priority signings, including a Premier League star. The Portuguese head coach is determined to reshape a squad that finished a dire 15th last season, United’s lowest-ever finish in the Premier League era. Since replacing Erik ten Hag in November 2024, Amorim has battled inconsistency and has overseen a turbulent first year in charge.

Sweden boss Potter gives disappointing update on Isak fitness

Sweden boss Graham Potter says star striker Alexander Isak is not ready to play two full games during the international break. The £125m man has been struggling for fitness since leaving Newcastle for Merseyside. Potter did confirm the Liverpool star will play some part in his side's World Cup qualifiers; Isak has been named on the bench to face Switzerland today.

Premier League star admits he would love to make Man Utd switch

Crystal Palace star Daniel Munoz admitted he would love to make a switch to Manchester United despite playing for their Premier League rivals. The 29-year-old has been nothing short of transformative since arriving at Selhurst Park from Genk in January 2024. His first full season in England saw him score six goals and provide eight assists in all competitions. It was a level of productivity that caught the attention of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and several elite clubs across the continent.

Huijsen to undergo scan after missing Spain's clash with Georgia

Spain defender Dean Huijsen is set to undergo a scan after being left out of the matchday squad for Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Georgia through groin discomfort. The European champions are now sweating on the Real Madrid centre-back’s fitness ahead of their final qualifier against Turkey next Tuesday after he experienced the issue in training.

Ex-Liverpool star makes shock switch from non-league to Bulgaria

Former Liverpool winger Jordan Ibe has signed with Bulgarian side Lokomotiv Sofia. The 29-year-old will represent the club until 2027. The sensational switch comes just two weeks after Ibe put pen to paper at Kent-based side Sittingbourne. Once considered a future star of English football, the nomadic midfielder has bounced around non-league football in recent years.

United assess midfield reinforcement options

Manchester United are preparing to make a push for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Joao Gomes, according to Football Insider. Manager Ruben Amorim is believed to view the energetic Brazilian as an ideal addition for his long-term plans, with the club expected to reshape parts of the squad ahead of next summer’s window.

Wolves’ precarious situation in the Premier League, currently sitting at the foot of the table, could play a decisive role in Gomes’ future. A drop to the Championship would almost certainly force the Midlands club to cash in on several key players, with the 24-year-old among the most valuable assets. The report adds that Liverpool are keeping tabs on Gomes as well. The midfielder remains under contract at Molineux until 2030.

Hampton out for rest of the year?

Chelsea manager Sonia Bompastor has revealed that Hannah Hampton could miss the rest of 2025 with a quad injury, potentially ruling her out of the Lionesses upcoming friendlies against China and Ghana later this month. The renowned shot stopper missed Chelsea's 6-0 win over St. Polten in the Women's Champions League, after picking up the injury during the Blues 1-1 draw with Arsenal last Saturday.

Barcelona confident of landing world-class No.9 to replace Lewandowski

Despite their financial constraints, Barcelona remain confident of signing a new world-class No.9 to replace Robert Lewandowski, with Bayern Munich star Harry Kane one of the options being considered. Lewandowski is in the final few months of his existing contract and is expected to leave the club as a free agent next summer as the Catalan giants are unlikely to offer him a new deal.

According to Mundo Deportivo, the favourite candidate to replace Lewandowski as Barcelona's main No.9 is Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid. The shortlist also consists of Bayern and England star Kane, along with Galatasaray's Victor Osimhen, Borussia Dortmund's Serhou Guirassy and a low-cost option in Etta Eyong.

Fabregas never planned to leave Como

Como president Mirwan Suwarso claimed that Cesc Fabregas never wanted to leave Como despite speculations over his future in the summer. Speaking to Sky Sports, Suwarso said: "Cesc Fabregas never told me he wants to leave the club. There were a lot of speculations last summer but I was calm as he never wanted to go. I’ve told Cesc I’d love him to indicate our future manager for the next years."

Lewandowski won't leave in January

Per Fabrizio Romano, Robert Lewandowski does not have any plans to exit Barcelona in the January transfer window as he wants to play at the club at least until the end of his contract, which expires next summer.

Umtiti reveals 'rift' with Barca

Samuel Umtiti slammed Barcelona as he opened up about his 'rift' with the Catalan club and his 'bouts of depression' during long injury spells in Spain.

He told RMC: "After the World Cup, I wanted to take some time to find out exactly what I had and make the right decisions about my treatment. We weren't necessarily in agreement with the club, so I decided to look elsewhere, to see specialists so that everyone could give me their opinion. Most of them told me that I didn't need to have surgery. In the end, Barcelona listened to my choice, to what I wanted. But I think there were things that happened internally that people didn't necessarily appreciate, whereas I have enormous respect for everyone. Just because I'm not doing my rehabilitation with you doesn't mean I don't love you. No, it's just that I had decided on something else because what you offered me didn't work out. But ultimately, from that moment on, I think the rift was created and people started talking, saying things that weren't necessarily true, putting all the blame on me. The most important thing for me was to come back."
