Former Arsenal and current Bayern Munich forward is being linked with Liverpool as he enters the final months of his contract.

Gnabry has scored 97 goals across 300 appearances for Bayern after leaving Arsenal back in August 2016. 0

He has scored four goals and recorded three assists, as well as netting twice for Germany this calendar year, and Liverpool are leading the race to sign him as per Sky in Germany.0

His current deal at the Allianz Arena expires in the summer, meaning that he would be able to leave on a free transfer. The Reds would be able to speak with him during the January transfer window to arrange a move that could help Liverpool’s attack.0

However, Bayern Munich also haven't abandoned hopes of retaining Gnabry who turns 31 in July. The Mirror report that enquiries have already been made by Anfield chiefs as interest from Juventus grows.0

According to German journalist Christian Falk, Bayern remain in discussions over a possible extension which would include a reduced salary, something he would also have to accept at Liverpool. 0

Gnabry currently earns between €17m and €19m per year and Liverpool are very unlikely to pay him such wages as he grows older. The winger could not cut it at Arsenal or West Bromwich and many will be wondering if he can make an impact at the highest level in the Premier League if he does make the move.0
