IMAGINE posing for a romantic video shot with your partner only to be PHOTOBOMBED by Lionel Messi.

Well, for one lucky couple, this exact thing happened.

Football fans across the globe could only dream of getting this close to the superstar and Argentina World Cup winner.

The Barcelona legend is back in Spain while club football takes a short break for the latest international window.

His Inter Miami side are in the thick of things in the MLS play-offs having defeated Nashville 4-0 to win 2-1 overall in the best of three series – with Messi netting a double – to set up a crack at Cincinatti later this month.

But in his downtime, Messi jetted back to where he made his name and dominated the European stage as he got a personal visit to the Nou Camp as it continues to go through its £1.3BILLION revamp.

However, in a blink and you'll miss it moment, one lucky couple were left in shock as the 38-year-old casually strolled past them on the street as they shot a short romantic clip as they hugged each other and held a huge bouquet of flowers.

As the loved up couple shared a kiss and looked down at the camera, in the background Messi can be seen coming into shot.

The unaware duo are then stunned, and do a double take, and appear to whisper something to each other before taking another look around as they look completely shocked at what had just happened.

The incredible moment has surfaced just hours after the man himself shared an emotional statement on his Nou Camp return.

Messi, 38, has turned out for French big hitters PSG and now MLS outfit Inter Miami since his exit from the La Liga giants.

But Barcelona will always hold a special place in his heart and he took to Instagram to upload a number of images from his return to familiar, but new looking surroundings.

He wrote: "Last night I returned to a place I miss with my soul. A place where I was immensely happy, where you guys made me feel a thousand times the happiest person in the world.

"I hope one day I can come back, and not just to say goodbye as a player, as I never got to…"
