Arsenal Receive Worrying Update on Martin Odegaard’s Injury from Norway Boss
Arsenal have been given a concerning update on Martin Odegaard’s injury as Norway manager Stale Solbakken provides the latest on the playmaker’s recovery.
Odegaard, 26, became the first player in Premier League history to be substituted in the first half in three consecutive games earlier in the season.
The midfielder is still sidelined after picking up a knee injury in Arsenal’s 2-0 league win over West Ham just over a month ago.
Initial scans had suggested Odegaard would be out for around six weeks and could make his return in time for the North London derby against Tottenham after the international break.
Solbakken has since cast doubts on that possibility when asked about his recovery ahead of Norway’s World Cup qualifiers against Estonia and Italy.
"It is steady,” he said “It is going in a steady direction, but he is some distance away.
"He will fly in (to Oslo) after his rehab on Thursday, then he will continue his rehab with us and will be with us from Thursday afternoon. I don't know when the flight leaves. But he will be with us until Milan."
