Amorim drops transfer hint following Sesko injury and AFCON losses

Ruben Amorim has hinted that Manchester United may need to explore the January transfer market after Benjamin Sesko suffered an injury.

The striker’s latest setback came during the Red Devils’ hard-fought 2-2 draw against Tottenham in north London on Saturday.0

Sesko appeared to have won the match late on, racing through on goal, only for Micky van de Ven to make a remarkable sliding block. The challenge left Sesko clutching his knee in visible pain.

Speaking after the match, Amorim expressed concern over United’s forward options, particularly with Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo, and Noussair Mazraoui set to leave for AFCON in December.0

"We have to check everything, we have to check what has happened with Ben.

"Of course, we are going to have a problem there (with AFCON), but we already knew. Then you can prepare that in the summer, but then you have a lot of players in the summer who are not going to play because it's one game per week. So the management of that situation is going to be hard.

"But let's see when the window is open, if we can improve the team and try to prepare something that happened. Until then, we have to take the chance."
