Barcelona open 'contract' talks with Man Utd loanee Rashford

Barcelona have opened talks with Marcus Rashford about a permanent transfer.

After last week's speculation, Sport says Barca have now begun talks with Rashford's camp about staying long-term in Spain.

Rashford is on a season-long loan at Barca from Manchester United, with the deal carrying a €35m permanent option.

Barca want to keep hold of the England attacker, but much will depend on Rashford accepting a pay-cut. The player has been informed Barca cannot fit his current United wages inside their budget.

This season, Rashford has scored five goals and provided seven assists in his 13 appearances so far, thus becoming a key player after a difficult start.
