Bayern Munich chief Eberl announces Kane contract plans

Bayern Munich chief Max Eberl is confident of Harry Kane's commitment.

The England captain was linked with Barcelona over the weekend.

But Eberl, after Bayern's win against Bayer Leverkusen, announced plans to open new contract talks with Kane.

"Harry knows our respect, and we feel his," Eberl said. "He's happy here, and we'll talk in the coming months."

Meanwhile, on Kane being substituted against Bayer after failing to score, Eberl added: 0"Every now and then he can come off a quarter of an hour early or start off the bench.

"It helps keep him fresh in the crucial moments, like against Dortmund or in the Champions League."

Kane's contract with Bayern runs to 2027.
