Former Liverpool star Carvalho wants January move as Leeds and Sunderland prepare bids
Former Liverpool forward Fabio Carvalho will explore a move away from Brentford in the January transfer window amid reports.
Since his 327.5M move from Liverpool last year, Carvalho started just three of his 19 Premier League appearances under former boss Thomas Frank before he picked up a shoulder injury, leaving him sidelined for the rest of the season.0
The 23-year-old has appeared 7 times so far this season, with two of those games coming in the EFL Cup against Aston Villa and Bournemouth. Reports stated that he rejected a move to Lyon in the summer to stay and fight for his place under new manager Keith Andrews, who has not handed him many chances so far.0
Reports now state that both Sunderland and Leeds United are ready to make an offer for the young forward who, as reported by journalist Florian Plettenburg is ready to leave to find game time elsewhere.0
“Understand F1bio #Carvalho could leave Brentford on loan in the winter to gain more playing time. 0
“A return to the Bundesliga is a concrete option for the 23-year-old attacking midfielder.0
“He has played only 96 minutes in the Premier League.”0
Carvalho has not made a Premier League starting lineup since the first weekend of the season and 0has been an unused substitute in Brentford's last two top-flight outings. 0
Sunderland will lose three attackers for AFCON in a few months time whilst Leeds’ blunt attack needs a player like Carvalho to open then game up. A move away looks certain and he is not expected to be short of options should he depart Brentford in January.0
