Haaland writhed about in agony as fans praised his dedication
But it was not for a lack of desire and but for the linesman's flag he would have grabbed an equaliser.
Haaland sprinted into the six-yard box to latch onto Omar Marmoush's cross, and managed to bundle the ball over the line after it initially hit the post.
But in doing so the Norwegian also collided with the woodwork.
Haaland painfully appeared to injure his private parts and began writhing about in agony.
Fans were impressed by his determination and some showed appreciation for his dedication.
One reacted saying: "Erling Haaland really sacrificed future generations of Haalands for an offside goal, ffs that man is really dedicated to scoring."
Another added: "Imagine not being able to have babies and the goal is still offside."
And a third wrote: "Haaland really sacrificed his balls for an offside goal."
Haaland's goalscoring streak had stretched back to August 31 when he notched in a 2-1 defeat to Brighton.
He scored 22 goals 12 games including a five-goal haul for Norway against Moldova.
