Under-fire Pereira not worried about losing Wolves job
Despite a massive fan uproar following Wolves' defeat against Burnley, Vitor Pereira remains confident of holding on to his position as Wolves boss.
The 57-year-old told reporters: "I'm not worried. It's not about me. It's about the club, the team and the players. My work is to help them to come again mentally strong for the next battle. Sometimes we have very difficult moments in our life that we have to suffer. What I saw in the dressing room was a team suffering. They did everything to get more from this game. What I said to them was today is a day we need to suffer but tomorrow we need to rise again ready for a fight. This is the mentality of this group. They deserve more than what we are getting in this league. I believe a win can change everything and feel today was the day but in the end, it was not. We must be ready to fight again and need our supporters again."
Sevilla eye loan move for Man Utd outcast
According to the Mirror, Sevilla are eyeing a loan move for out-of-favour Manchester United star Joshua Zirkzee in the January transfer window as Ruben Amorim is considering letting the Dutchman leave on a temporary deal.
Barca prospect eyed by West Ham
West Ham United are preparing to make a bold statement ahead of the January transfer window by targeting 17-year-old Barcelona sensation Pedro 'Dro' Fernandez.
According to Alan Nixon, the Hammers have already begun compiling a dossier on the young forward in anticipation of a potential move during the winter window. Their strategy is to act swiftly before the youngster's valuation "goes crazy," following his breakout into Barcelona's first team.
Milinkovic-Savic signs new Al-Hilal target
Juventus target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has committed his future to Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal as he penned a new three-year contract on Sunday.
The official statement from Al-Hilal read: "The board of directors of Al-Hilal Club Company, chaired by HH Prince Nawaf Bin Saad, has completed the procedures to extend the contract of Al Hilal's Serbian football player Sergej Milinković-Savić for two additional sports seasons until 2028. His Highness signed the contract extension with Sergej this Sunday evening at the club's headquarters in the capital, Riyadh.
Messi reunion & reforming MSN one of two options for Neymar
A reunion with Lionel Messi in MLS that could see Barcelona's fabled 'MSN' strike force reformed at Inter Miami is one of two options available to Neymar as he mulls over his future. The Brazilian superstar is approaching the end of his current contract at Santos, with a big decision on what happens next needing to be made before 2025 comes to a close.
According to Spanish news outlet SPORT, the South American icon "would like to find, in the next transfer window, an attractive sporting destination that would bring him back into the media spotlight". Such a switch would help him to convince Selecao boss Carlo Ancelotti of his worth.
West Ham ready to back Nuno in January
West Ham are enduring one of their worst starts to a Premier League campaign in decades, but club chiefs are determined not to pull the trigger on Espirito Santo, as per The Sun. The Portuguese manager, appointed last month to replace Graham Potter, has collected just one point from four games in charge. Friday's 2-1 defeat at Leeds United compounded an already dire run of form, leaving the Hammers rooted in 19th, with four points from nine games.
Bournemouth rejected £50m Semenyo bids from Man Utd & Spurs
Telegraph Sport has revealed that Bournemouth turned down £50 million bids from Manchester United and Tottenham at the start of the January transfer window for Antoine Semenyo. Both Premier League giants made formal approaches for the Ghanaian forward, only to be rebuffed almost immediately by the south-coast club. The decision was driven by Bournemouth's firm stance that Semenyo was a key part of their long-term plans under head coach Andoni Iraola.
McTominay tipped to make Premier League return
After a glittering debut campaign in Italy, Scott McTominay's time at Napoli has taken an unexpected turn as per The Sun. The Scotland international joined the club from Manchester United in the summer of 2024 for around £25 million and played a pivotal role in their title triumph, scoring 12 goals and earning Serie A's Player of the Year award. His performances even saw him finish 18th in the Ballon d'Or rankings.
However, as per The Sun's report, things have become more complicated this season. While McTominay has scored three times in the opening weeks of the new campaign, Napoli have found consistency harder to come by and sit third in Serie A, trailing AC Milan by two points, before their win over Inter Milan on Saturday. The midfielder is reportedly finding life off the pitch more challenging than on it, prompting talk that he could consider a return to English football sooner rather than later.
Ratcliffe blocks shock transfer for Barca star in blow to Amorim
According to the Mirror, Ruben Amorim was looking forward to bringing Lewandowski to Old Trafford next summer once the veteran forward's Barcelona contract expired. The Poland legend is in the final year of his existing deal and as of now, there have been no talks of an extension between the striker and the Catalan club, which is a clear hint that the Spanish champions do not want to retain the player beyond the 2025-26 campaign.
The report, however, also adds that Ratcliffe has denied Amorim's request as he is strictly against signing players who are in the twilight of their playing careers. In the past, United have run after big names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, Raphael Varane and Bastian Schweinsteiger but none of the signings have proved fruitful for the team and have instead cost the club millions of pounds in the transfer market and in wages.
Man Utd eyeing move for Bellingham
Per the Mirror, Manchester United are eyeing a move for Jobe Bellingham and could consider signing the Borussia Dortmund midfielder on loan in the January transfer window. It now remains to be seen if Bellingham wants to return to England or keep fighting for a place in the Dortmund lineup.
