Transfer news & rumours LIVE: Man Utd eye move for Elliot Anderson as Carlos Baleba interest cools

Man Utd determined to sign Sporting CP's Diomande

Per Fichajes, Manchester United are plotting an ambitious bid to sign Sporting CP's star centre-back Ousmane Diomande and are prepared to shell out a whopping €50million as a transfer fee.

Ruben Amorim wants to add a new centre-back to further bolster his backline, which has underperformed at the start of the 2025-26 campaign and the Portuguese coach wants to reunite with the 21-year-old defender.

Man Utd enter three-way race to sign Anderson

Per the Mirror, Manchester United have entered a three-way race to sign Nottingham Forest midfield star Elliot Anderson. The Red Devils will face competition from Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea, who also have their eyes on the Forest player. Alongside Anderson, the Red Devils remain keen on signing Carlos Baleba from Brighton.

'Why not?' - Spurs transfer target 'flattered' by interest

Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Maghnes Akliouche admitted he has been 'flattered' by the Premier League club's interest ahead of AS Monaco's Champions League showdown with Thomas Frank's side.

The 23-year-old said: "I thought it was very flattering to have these kinds of stories and links but I'm a Monaco player and I'm playing against Spurs tomorrow, so I will give my best. In terms of playing in the Premier League, why not? We will see in the future but tomorrow I will give my all."

'Work like mad dogs!' - Simeone suggested as new Man Utd boss

A former Premier League star has recommended Diego Simeone as an ideal replacement for Ruben Amorim, as the Argentine coach 'would have Manchester United working like mad dogs'.

Speaking to Hajper, former Arsenal and Everton midfielder Anders Limpar said: "Diego Simeone is definitely a good manager to manage any Premier League team but it all comes down to the right environment and the players and then the transformation. Nobody knows what a man like Simeone and his type of energy would do at United. We’ve seen him play like Antonio Conte when he was at Chelsea and he won the Premier League with that kind of management. But it comes down to the players and manager working together. Simeone is so demanding, even with his own son, to play more than the other ones, and the work rate from Atletico’s players is unbelievable. Imagine having a manager who demands so much of his players at Arsenal, Liverpool or United? He would have them working like mad dogs."

Rashford could still return to Man Utd if Amorim leaves

Marcus Rashford could return to Manchester United next summer if Ruben Amorim leaves the club by then, according to former Red Devils coach Rene Meulensteen.

Meulensteens was speaking to CasinoHawks, who offer the latest online casinos, and said: "Marcus Rashford back to Man Utd? That's a real personal choice, and things can change, you don't know. I don't think it would happen with Ruben Amorim, to be fair, because I think something must have happened for that move to be forced. So I don't know, but I think Marcus, and maybe Barcelona as well, would most likely want to see if they could make it a permanent deal because Marcus is 27 now, so he's still a good age. Playing in Spain is different than in the Premier League. It's not as demanding, especially with Barcelona having maybe 70% or more of the ball, which is a nice position to be in."

Matty Cash set to sign new Aston Villa contract

Per Fabrizio Romano, Polish full-back Matty Cash is all set to extend his stay at Aston Villa as he has agreed to sign a new long-term deal, which will run until 2029 with an option to extend until 2030. The defender is expected to sign the dotted lines by the end of his week.

Chelsea ready £87m bid for Porto striker Aghehowa

According to Record, Chelsea are planning an £87 million offer to sign Samu Aghehowa from FC Porto next summer. The Spain international was on the verge of joining the London club from Atlético Madrid in 2024, but the deal fell through, leading to his move to Portugal instead.

Since arriving at the Estádio do Dragao, the 21-year-old has been in spectacular form, scoring 25 goals in his debut campaign and adding eight more in just nine appearances this season. Samu remains under contract with Porto until June 2029, meaning Chelsea may have to offer a significant package to persuade the Primeira Liga champions to part with their star forward.

Barca to reunite Greenwood & Rashford?

It is being suggested that Barcelona are mulling over a move that would see Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford reunited in Catalunya. The Liga giants have already acquired one former Manchester United winger, with a productive loan spell being enjoyed by Rashford in 2025-26, and it is now being claimed that their sights are locked on another who continues to impress at Marseille.

Madrid make new attempt to block Barcelona’s Miami match

Real Madrid have escalated their opposition to La Liga’s Miami plan by filing a second complaint to the Higher Sports Council (CSD), aiming to stop the Villarreal vs Barcelona match from taking place in the United States. The club claims the overseas fixture breaches competition fairness, while the government and Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) navigate complex regulations before a final decision.

Son Heung-min could be set for a sensational return to the Premier League during the January transfer window of 2026, with the LAFC star reportedly seeing a “David Beckham clause” inserted in the contract which took him to MLS. The former Tottenham forward has made a stunning impact in the United States, but his association with the European game may not be over.

Bayern confirm contract extension for Kompany

Bayern Munich have announced that manager Vincent Kompany has penned a contract extension with the Bavarian giants. Kompany has put pen to paper on a new deal with the club that runs until June 2029 after winning the Bundesliga title in his first season in charge. Kompany's side have also started the new season well and currently sit five points clear at the top of the table.

Endrick looking for a fresh adventure

Revealed: Why sacking Tudor would be costly for Juventus

Pressure is building on Igor Tudor at Juventus after the Serie A side saw their winless run extended to six games in all competitions with a 2-0 loss to Como at the weekend. The club are reportedly assessing potential replacements for the coach, who only signed a permanent contract in the summer. With the Croatian coach earning a gross salary of €8 million, however, Juventus may find it difficult to sack him, as former manager Thiago Motta is still on the club’s payroll.

Muller would have joined Lewandowski at Barca 'if Flick had called'

Thomas Muller ended his 25-year association with Bayern Munich by joining Major League Soccer outfit Vancouver Whitecaps as a free agent over the summer. However, things could have played out a whole lot differently. Forest confirm Dyche as THIRD manager of 2025-26 season

Nottingham Forest have confirmed Sean Dyche as their third manager of the 2025-26 season after brutally sacking Ange Postecoglou. The Australian was shown the door just minutes after a 3–0 thumping at the hands of Chelsea on Saturday afternoon. Postecoglou's brief and bruising 39-day tenure produced no wins in eight games across all competitions. It was a miserable run that left Forest languishing in the relegation zone and their supporters furious.

The Spanish outfit are in north London for a Champions League clash with Arsenal. They trained at the Gunners’ famous home on Monday, but were left without hot water on site, leading to contact being made with European football’s governing body.

Endrick's stance on Real Madrid future leaves club insiders worried

Real Madrid starlet Endrick reportedly remains "very reluctant" to leave the club despite continuing to struggle for game time under new manager Xabi Alonso. However, club insiders are worried about the youngster and feel a move away in January is the best option as his situation is unlikely to change anytime soon as he risks missing out on a place in Brazil's World Cup squad if he remains on the bench.
