Fulham move to secure Silva amid Man Utd and Juventus links

Fulham are keen to extend Marco Silva’s contract to secure his long-term future.

The 48-year-old, linked with clubs like Manchester United and Juventus, joined Fulham in 2021, winning the Championship in his first season and setting a Premier League points record last term.0

Talks for a renewal, with his current 315m release clause, have yet to begin.

Silva spoke about his future at the club after Fulham's loss to Arsenal at the weekend. The Cottagers’ boss admitted he had already spoken to owner Shahid Khan but stopped short of committing his future to the club.

"I've met him already. The main reason was not just the contract, we have many things to talk about. I've felt always part of this football club, from the first day until day. Like players, it's normal they (other clubs) show interest in myself and my staff," he told reporters.

"It's a normal situation. (But) full focus on us and working with the club on the future too. I've been here five years, why not more.0

“(The contract situation) is not going to be something that disrupts our season. If I have to, I'll speak with you (about it) every single week as well. I think it's not necessary to speak every week about it. The right time to speak, it will arrive."
