‘We Always Believe in the System!’ – Bruno Fernandes Defends Amorim After Liverpool Win

Bruno Fernandes passionately defended Ruben Amorim’s tactics following Man United’s “massive” 2-1 Premier League victory over Liverpool on Sunday (October 19).

United secured a crucial victory at Anfield thanks to goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Harry Maguire, marking the first time the club have won back-to-back Premier League games under Ruben Amorim.

The Portuguese manager has come under immense fire for persisting with his favoured 3-4-3 system, but they now sit just two points behind Arne Slot’s side.

Speaking after the game, Fernandes, who provided the assist for Maguire’s winner, defended Amorim’s tactics.

He told Sky Sports: "Our shape always gives teams issues. It is a little bit ungrateful to talk about shape when we lose games and in the same way I am grateful to talk about it when we win.0

“We always believe in the system, whether we win or lose, but it's about doing the right things in the right moments.0

“We had moments we had to suffer and we did that in the game and the main thing is to do the same thing and believe what we prepare is what is going to give us the win."
