Mosquera has high praise for Arsenal wonderkid Dowman: His way of playing is like Yamal!

Arsenal centre-back Cristhian Mosquera has praised wonderkid Max Dowman this week as he compares him to Barcelona's Lamine Yamal.

Dowman broke another record this week as became the youngest goalscorer for England Under 19s, breaking Ryan Sessegnon's record from 2016.0

0The 15-year-old made his Premier League debut as a substitute in the 5-0 win over Leeds United in August in what has been a meteoric rise under manager Mikel Arteta.0

In an interview with The Athletic, Mosquera has heaped praise on the youngster who many believe could be one of the best players in the world in the future.0

“I don’t mean to compare, but his style and way of playing is like Lamine Yamal. His movements are Lamine-esque,” Mosquera said.0

“I didn’t have him on my radar and when I got to Singapore, he was already training and playing. When they told me he was 15, I couldn’t believe it. 0

“He really is an incredible player, and I think he’s going to be world-class.”0

The teenager has been hovering around the first-team setup for the past 18 months and has now become integral to Arteta’s setup. Now he is getting consistent game time for both England and Arsenal he should be able to develop into a player to potentially rival Yamal.0

However, the likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson have all had similar praise and never made it in North London over the last several years.0
