Liverpool in Talks Over Borussia Dortmund Star but Face Bayern Competition

Liverpool have reportedly held talks with Borussia Dortmund over a potential deal for Nico Schlotterbeck, though Bayern Munich are also keen on the highly-rated star.

Arne Slot’s side are said to be interested in a January move for the 25-year-old following Giovanni Leoni’s season-ending ACL injury.

According to DaveOCKOP, Liverpool’s recruitment team have already held discussions with Schlotterbeck’s representatives in order to ascertain his interest in a move.

Early discussions have been described as "positive", suggesting genuine interest from the Premier League title holders.

Liverpool won’t have a clear run at the centre-back, however, with German rivals Bayern Munich also keen on securing his services.
