Man Utd eyeing move for Bellingham
According to BILD, Manchester United are eyeing a move for Jude Bellingham's brother Jobe as Ruben Amorim sees the young midfielder as a perfect fit for his 3-4-2-1 system. Bellingham followed in his elder brother Jude's footsteps and signed for Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window from Sunderland but the youngster has struggled for regular game time in Germany under Niko Kovac and could seek an exit from Germany soon.
Everton eyeing move for Man Utd outcast Zirkzee
Everton are eyeing a move for out-of-favour Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee in the winter transfer window after their new signing Thierno Barry has failed to live up to expectations.
Mick Brown (via Football Insider) said: "If there is a green light for Zirkzee to leave Man United in January, I’m sure a lot of clubs will be in for him. It’s obvious he was going to struggle for minutes this season, he’s got Benjamin Sesko ahead of him as the preferred number nine with Cunha and Mbeumo as the alternatives. Obviously, the player himself is frustrated at his lack of opportunities this season and he could push for a move away in January if those minutes don’t improve. There’s always been interest from Italy with the likes of Juventus and Como because of the success he had in Serie A before his move to Man United."
Chelsea academy make two new signings
Chelsea academy have confirmed the arrivals of new players as Riley Ebho and Jashayde Greenwood sign for the Blues' U18 side. The official statement from the club read: "Chelsea is pleased to confirm the addition of two new players to our Under-18s after Riley Ebho and Jashayde Greenwood signed scholarship terms with the Blues."
Liverpool warned Barca will eye Isak transfer
Liverpool have been warned that they could quickly lose Alexander Isak, as Barcelona might consider a transfer for the Swedish striker once veteran No.9 Robert Lewandowski leaves the club.
Speaking to OLBG, ex-Barcelona and Spain star Gaizka Mendieta said: "There was talk in Spain of Alexander Isak going to Barcelona before he joined Liverpool who are stronger financially. Of course, there will be links between the best strikers and Real Madrid and Barcelona, at the moment Barca still have Robert Lewandowski, but they'll be looking for his replacement next year and Isak will be looked at. He's a great striker, he's been in La Liga already, he knows the competition. His performances last season for Newcastle were amazing. So far he seems to be settling quickly into Liverpool. Great strikers are never short of offers and opportunities in either Premier League or of course in Spain with the bigger clubs."
Yamal transfer pipe dream! PSG still want Barcelona wonderkid
A report from respected French journalist Romain Molina claims that Lamine Yamal remains on the radar of those at Parc des Princes. He has said in a video on YouTube: “In Doha (PSG’s owners are Qatar Sports Investments), they say: ‘We want him’. In Doha, it has been decided that they want him, whatever it takes, one day.”
Lyon youngster is like Yamal and 'belongs' at Liverpool or Man City
Lyon winger Malick Fofana "belongs" at a cub like Liverpool or Manchester City, according to his agent, with the Belgium international earning comparisons to Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal.
Frederico Pena, the general manager of Roc Nation, the agency that manages Fofana, has told DeMorgen: "We discovered Fofana through our own scouting team. He's an exceptional talent who is gradually becoming ready for a transfer. Next year, the World Cup will be held in the United States. We want to develop players who can shine there. Fofana fits that profile perfectly."
Vini Jr isn't untouchable! Real would sanction €250m transfer
Vinicius Junior is no longer "untouchable" at Real Madrid, according to reports, with Los Blancos prepared to sanction a sale if the right offer arrives. That deal would need to smash all kinds of records, with the Spanish giants demanding €250 million (£217m/$290m) for their Brazil international forward. Few teams can afford to meet that asking price, but big-spending sides in the Saudi Pro League could.
A sale may just happen, with Sky Sports claiming that: “Vinicius Junior is no longer untransferable to Real Madrid! The club is reportedly seriously considering a sale to Saudi Arabia next summer. The expected amount? No less than €250 million for the Brazilian star. A scenario that seemed unthinkable just a few months ago.”
Liverpool hold talks over Dortmund's Schlotterbeck
Liverpool have reportedly held positive talks with Borussia Dortmund’s Nico Schlotterbeck as they accelerate their search for a new centre-back following Giovanni Leoni’s season-ending ACL injury. However, Bayern Munich are also keeping tabs on the Germany international, meaning the Reds could face stiff competition in the upcoming January transfer window.
Liverpool’s recruitment team have opened early discussions with representatives of Schlotterbeck, according to DaveOCKOP. The 25-year-old has become a leading target for Arne Slot, who wants additional defensive depth after Leoni’s serious knee injury ruled him out for the campaign. Early discussions have been described as "positive", suggesting genuine interest from the Merseyside club.
PSG lead shock transfer race for frozen-out Madrid star Endrick
With zero minutes under his belt this season, Real Madrid's wonderkid Endrick is a shock January target for Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report. The French giants are plotting a move for the out-of-favour striker, but face stiff competition from West Ham, Juventus and Real Sociedad, who are all ready to pounce on a loan deal for the frustrated Brazilian teenager.
PSG are reportedly plotting an audacious January move for Endrick, as a host of European clubs circle the out-of-favour Brazilian. According to a report from Spanish outlet Sport, the French champions are considering an investment in the 19-year-old, whose lack of playing time under new manager Xabi Alonso has put his future at the Santiago Bernabeu under intense scrutiny. While Madrid are not contemplating a permanent sale, the door has been left open for a potential loan move in the winter window.
Frankfurt preparing January move for Newcastle's Osula
William Osula has struggled for regular minutes at Newcastle United, but could be given an opportunity in the Bundesliga.
According to Sky journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Eintracht Frankfurt are preparing a loan move for Osula this January. Tavolieri references the fact that the two clubs had already made an agreement for such a move in the summer before Newcastle backed out due to the transfer of Wissa dragging out longer than expected.
But now, Die Adler look set to offer 20-year-old Osula a ‘new lease of life in the Bundesliga’. Frankfurt finished third in the German top-flight last season, earning them a spot in the group stage of the Champions League.
Dortmund eye Chelsea defender in case Schlotterbeck leaves for Bayern
Bundesliga heavyweights Borussia Dortmund are exploring defensive options in case star defender Nico Schlotterbeck leaves the club for Bayern Munich next summer. They have identified one strong candidate in the form of Chelsea defender Axel Disasi and a past connection with Dortmund coach Niko Kovac might help them in securing his services.
As per Sport, Bayern have their eyes on the former Freiburg defender. His contract at Dortmund runs until 2027, but there seems to be no developments regarding an extension despite the club's desire to tie him down for the long term. As a result, the Black and Yellows might be compelled to sanction a sale next summer and pave the way for a new signing.
Endrick tipped to make shock January move to Serie A giants
Endrick could make a shock move to the Serie A as Juventus are reportedly keen on signing the out-of-favour Real Madrid youngster. After a difficult debut campaign at Santiago Bernabeu, which saw the teenager struggle for game time under Carlo Ancelotti, things have worsened under Xabi Alonso as the Selecao star has yet to feature in a La Liga or Champions League in the new season.
Ex-Man Utd star in frame for Rangers job after Gerrard says no
Former Manchester United star Michael Carrick is in frame to take over as Rangers manager after Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard decided to step away from the race to replace Russell Martin at the Scottish club.
Now that the Gerrard chapter is over, the Daily Mail claims that Rangers officials have started looking at other options, including Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna, while Sheffield Wednesday head coach Danny Rohl is also being considered by sporting director Kevin Thelwell, CEO Patrick Stewart and Gretar Steinsson of 49ers Enterprises. But the name that has stood out is United legend Michael Carrick, who is currently without a job.
Real told they can re-sign wonderkid Paz 'whenever they want'
Real Madrid have been told that they can re-sign their youth player Nico Paz 'whenever they want' as Como president reveals their transfer plan.
Como President Mirwan Suwarso told Sportitalia: "I couldn’t care less. It’s a situation we agreed on from the beginning. Real Madrid are allowed to buy him back whenever they want. It’s up to Nico to decide what he wants to do with his future. We are very happy to have him. We like to build a home for him in Como. He chose to stay this season, and we take it day by day. We see how it goes. Does he go back to Madrid next season? Madrid have every right to do that. Will he stay with us? It’s up to him whether he wants it or not."
Crystal Palace chief reacts to Man Utd interest in Wharton
Manchester United have been sent a message over their interest in Adam Wharton's transfer as Crystal Palace chief admitted that the midfielder would want to play in the Champions League in the future. Addressing Wharton's transfer links, Palace co-owner Steve Parish told talkSPORT: "I think Adam at some point will want to play either in the Champions League with us, if we can make that happen, or probably with another club. He's an extraordinary talent. I think right now, and I can't speak for Adam, but I think he's focused on his time at Crystal Palace. He had a broken season last season with the groin issues that he had that a lot of young players get.
When asked particularly about United's link, Parish said there was no "real pressure" from Wharton to move to Old Trafford: "If Manchester United want Adam Wharton, that's nothing surprising really about that. The fact of the matter is he's got a long contract to run. There's no pressure on us to do it, and I don't think there's any real pressure from the player either."
USMNT striker Wright advised to snub January transfer
Haji Wright has been in impressive form for Coventry City, suggesting that there is a Premier League future for him somewhere, but the USMNT star has been advised to shun any interest shown during the January transfer window.
Quizzed on whether Wright is heading there - even if Coventry, who currently sit top of the Championship, do not - former Sky Blues striker Matt Jansen, speaking in association with Palantir Financial Planning, told GOAL: “He has eight goals this season, USA international, good player. You can never say you are going to succeed in the Premier League until you get there.
'I'll definitely return'- Zidane outlines plan to be France boss
Zinedine Zidane has outlined his plan to become the next manager of the France national team as the former Real Madrid boss opened up on how his 'life changed' after retirement. Speaking at Trent Sports Festival, Zidane said: "When I stopped, my life changed. After three years, I didn't know what to do; I tried so many things until I signed up for the coaching course. Of all the coaches I've had, the one I learned the most from was Lippi: he was very important, because when I arrived in Italy, it was difficult for me at first, but he always believed in me. I first had Ancelotti as my manager, then I became his assistant: he's a friend, he was important to my career. He was a good coach because he listened to us players."
The France legend then added: "He must be passionate about football, deeply passionate. It's not just those who win who are good; there are good coaches who can't win. The most important thing for me is to convey something to the players. When you're passionate, then you convey something to the players. I will definitely return to coaching. Me at Juventus? I don't know why it didn't happen. I always have him in my heart because he gave me so much. In the future, I don't know, one of my goals is to coach the French national team. We'll see.
No deal, Lewandowski! Barca decide against new contract
Robert Lewandowski could be set to leave Barcelona when his contract expires next summer, as the Catalan giants are not expected to offer a new contract to the 37-year-old ahead of the expiry of his current deal in June 2026.
Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, sporting director Deco said: "We’re not going to talk about renewals in October. We’re taking it step by step. He’s one of the best strikers of recent years, a top-level player. He’s helped us a lot. He’s scored more than 40 goals, but we will analyse it. It’s time to talk about getting injured players back. “You shouldn’t get obsessed with a ‘9’, you might be wrong. Maybe you can play without a ‘9’. It’s not the time to talk about signings. Ferran can play as a ‘9’. PSG, the European champions, won the Champions League without a striker. Talking about a ‘9’ is a bit of a mistake, even though there are good players. We wanted a team that didn’t need to go to the market so much. When we renew, we also sign players. We have been able to avoid selling any important players. Many clubs would like to have these players. We have a championship team, a top-level team, that we need to improve. It’s better to go to the market, more calmly."
Postecoglou made 'unusual' decisions but Forest manager defended
Alan Shearer has come to the defence of under-fire Nottingham Forest manager Ange Postecoglou, calling his tactical tweaks "really unusual" but insisting he shouldn't be sacked despite a dismal start.
Shearer, speaking on the situation with Betfair, admitted that while Postecoglou’s job may be under threat, he doesn’t believe the Forest boss deserves the sack. "It wouldn’t surprise me if Ange got the sack, but he shouldn’t," Shearer said. "It wouldn't surprise me if they make a change at Forest. I don't think they should. Seven games is ridiculous."
