Paul Scholes Names Manager He Wants to Replace Ruben Amorim at Man United
Paul Scholes has revealed the manager he wants to take over from incumbent boss Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.
The 40-year-old has failed to live up to the hype since replacing Erik ten Hag nearly a year ago, with 10 wins, 7 draws, and 17 losses in 34 Premier League games.
Speculation surrounding Amorim’s future has been a hot topic for ex-Man United players on podcasts, TV, and basically anywhere people are willing to listen.
Speaking The Overlap, former United midfielder Scholes believes Newcastle boss Eddie Howe should be the man to take over from Amorim should the club decide to pull the trigger.
He said: “Eddie Howe, Eddie Howe. I’m not sure about his mate (assistant manager Jason Tindall), but definitely him.”
Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe doesn’t appear to have the same opinion, however, recently suggesting that Amorim could be given three-years to prove himself at United.
