REVEALED: Napoli directors were agreed in moving for Neymar

La Gazzetta dello Sport says Napoli powerbrokers seriously considered bringing the former Barcelona and PSG star back to Europe.

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis, sports director Giovanni Manna and coach Antonio Conte were in agreement to go for the Brazil international.

However, their interested faded once alerted to Kevin de Bruyne's availability as he was leaving Manchester City.

Despite Napoli's ultimate decision, it hasn't been ruled out by Neymar and his camp of eventually moving to Italy in the final years of his career.
