Man United and Liverpool to Battle for Dayot Upamecano as Bayern Talks Stall

Premier League duo Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly competing to sign Dayot Upamecano after contract extension talks with Bayern Munich hit a dead end.

According to a report from German outlet BILD, United are keeping close tabs on the 26-year-old, who’s Bayern contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

United won’t have a free run at Upamecano, however, with Liverpool also interested amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding the future of Ibrahima Konate.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are reportedly monitoring Upamecano’s status at the Allianz Arena, where talks over a contract renewal have encountered obstacles.

While Bayern and Upamecano have reached an agreement on base salary, talks are still at an impasse regarding the signing bonus.
