Brentford v Manchester City - Premier League

Pep Guardiola made history with a win over Brentford on Sunday as he became the fastest manager to reach 250 wins in the Premier League. He eclipsed legendary managers like Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger in the process as he achieved the feat in just 349 matches. City edged out the Bees courtesy of Erling Haaland's early first half goal as they climbed up to fifth in the league.

Guardiola makes Premier League history

The 1-0 win against Brentford was Guardiola's 250th Premier League victory and he managed to achieve the feat in just 349 matches, which makes him the fastest manager to reach the landmark. Legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson completed his 250th victory in his 404th game, while Wenger did it in 423 outings. Another ex-United manager and current Everton boss David Moyes won his 250th game in 645 matches.

Manchester City picking up form

After suffering back-to-back defeats against Spurs and Brighton at the start of the season, Guardiola's City are slowly picking up form as they remain unbeaten in their last four league matches and seven across all competitions. The three points at the Gtech Community Stadium also helped them to climb up to the fifth position on the league table.

City sweating on Rodris's injury

Rodri was dealt another injury blow on Sunday as the former Ballon d'Or winner was forced to leave the pitch just 20 minutes into the game. The Spain international was able to walk from the field, but was clearly in some discomfort and could be facing up to another spell on the sidelines.
