Man United Legend Linked to Potential Interim Role if Ruben Amorim Is Sacked

Manchester United are reportedly considering Darren Fletcher as a potential interim manager if Ruben Amorim is sacked, with the Portuguese coach’s position hanging by a thread.

The 40-year-old’s side are currently languishing down in 14th and have already been knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two side Grimsby Town.

Amorim is under immense pressure at Old Trafford having amassed a dismal 34 points in 33 league games as he continues to persist with his failing 3-4-3 system.

According to a report from The Sun, United are preparing for the eventualiy that Amorim will be sacked and are considering giving interim charge to ex-midfielder Fletcher, 41.

Fletcher was appointed the club’s Under-18s manager back in June and is understood to have impressed United’s higher ups.
