Kane opens up on his relationship with Jackson: We want to surprise the defenders...
Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has revealed what his relationship with Nicolas Jackson is like as they adapt to each other.
Jackson completed his season-long move to the Bundesliga with an obligation to make it permanent this summer. His role has been well documented to be as a back-up to Kane at Bayern as he aims to get minutes under manager Vincent Kompany.0
Kane struck twice as Bayern crushed Pafos in the Champions League on Tuesday night, despite being deployed in a slightly deeper role, behind Chelsea loanee Jackson, which he says is all about confusing defenders.0
"Jackson played from the start today. At times, I dropped back a bit, more like a number 10; he came in, received balls.0
"I think it's important to keep surprising the defenders and not do the same thing the whole game. Nico was fantastic today: a goal, an assist, and almost another goal at the end. I'm very happy for him." 0
"We'll need him all season; he should stay fit and fresh," he added. "Today was a really good game from him. It might have looked easy, but that was due to how we played. 0
With our pressing, the second balls, the way we played through the lines. We have this momentum and we're determined to maintain it."0
The England captain has now scored more goals in 27 Champions League outings for Bayern than he managed in 32 games for former club Tottenham in the Champions League.0
His role alongside Jackson is clearly working under Kompany as the Belgian head coach tries to find the best way Jackson can slot into his side this season before his loan is up next summer.0
