Man Utd Considering Michael Carrick Reunion if Ruben Amorim Is Sacked as Sir Jim Ratcliffe Looks to Steady Ship
Man United are reportedly considering a reunion with Michael Carrick should Ruben Amorim be dismissed, with owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe seeking a familiar figure to stabilize the club.
United sit down in 14th with just two wins, one draw, and three defeats from their opening six Premier League games.
Not only are Amorim’s side struggling in the league, but they were also knocked out of the Carabao Cup on penalties by League Two side Grimsby Town.
Amorim is under immense pressure at Old Trafford, and ongoing insistent he won’t change his failing system isn’t helping his case.
According to The Sun, United are looking at potential replacements for the 40-year-old, with former midfielder Carrick emerging as an option.
It’s understood that part owner Ratcliffe is keen on bringing in a familiar face to help steady the ship should they decide to dismiss Amorim.
