Man Utd told Southgate is the 'PERFECT' manager
Amidst increasing pressure surrounding Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim, the Red Devils have been told by a former Premier League star that former England boss Gareth Southgate is the ideal man to take over at Old Trafford
Cole said: "He [Amorim] was the bright young spark, people were talking about him like he was the messiah coming into Manchester United and would sort everything out. That’s how high his stock was when he left Lisbon. So, he’s clearly a good manager as well, but the mix and the blend of the whole situation, I think it needs a culture change. I thought Gareth Southgate was the perfect man for the job at the state it was in terms of building culture, understanding the club, understanding the league, understanding the players, working with Jim Ratcliffe and people like that, and they went with Amorim, and it doesn’t look like it’s working."
Shelvey joins third-tier Middle Eastern side
The Arabian Falcons, a side that was formed in 2023, confirmed on Friday that they had completed the signing of former Premier League star Jonjo Shelvey. The 33-year-old returned to England after a stint in Turkey, as he signed a six-month deal with Burnley in January 2025. However, the Clarets decided against an extension, and after a failed move to Hull City, he remained a free agent.
Man Utd considering Southgate as Amorim replacement
In a new report from talkSPORT, Gareth Southgate is reportedly an option for United should they decide to sack Ruben Amorim. The report claims that the former England manager was considered when the Old Trafford club decided to hire Amorim in November 2024, with Southgate unwilling to return to club management at that time. Grealish reveals partying regrets following superb Everton start
Jack Grealish admits he holds some regrets over his past partying but has refused to cite that as the reason why he left Manchester City by joining Everton on loan in the summer.
In an interview with his former Villa boss Tim Sherwood on Sky Sports, Grealish said: “People go, 'he likes to go out, he likes to party' - and I do. I want to be able to live my life as well and enjoy myself, but there's a time and a place to do that. I'll be honest with you, I probably haven't picked the right times - sometimes at City, for example, I didn't help myself at times, I'll openly say that - but then I don't think it was all down to that. People say to me, 'what happened at City?' But I had two good years there. The first year I was getting used to everything, going there for that amount of money, the pressure and just getting used to the way the manager wanted to play and the environment. The second year we won the treble and it was an unbelievable year. I loved it. The third year, I put that down to myself really and I feel like I didn't do certain things right in that year."
Guler 'not for sale' amid Arsenal interest
According to CaughtOffside, Real Madrid are adamant that Guler is ‘not for sale’, with the playmaker himself ‘fully committed’ to making the most of the chances he is getting under Alonso.
While it remains to be seen if Guler is able to maintain his current high levels in the coming weeks and months, given that he is only 20 and has a high ceiling, it is extremely likely that Madrid will sell him.

Man Utd told to axe Amorim
Manchester United have been urged to ditch manager Ruben Amorim after yet another dismal defeat at the hands of Brentford on Saturday in the Premier League.
Former Chelsea star Joe Cole has urged the Red Devils to make changes in the team after the Brentford defeat, as he told TNT Sports, "There's something in the harmony of the whole club, the group. It’s the heaviest shirt in world football, because of how poor it’s been, and the history of the club, the expectations. The manager’s job first and foremost is to bring harmony and rejuvenate the culture. Whoever comes in has to fin a way to galvanise – first of all the players, we know there are some good players here – [but also] the club, the boards, the owner, the fans. They need a different direction."
