Grealish reveals partying regrets following superb Everton start

Jack Grealish admits he holds some regrets over his past partying but has refused to cite that as the reason why he left Manchester City by joining Everton on loan in the summer.

In an interview with his former Villa boss Tim Sherwood on Sky Sports, Grealish said: “People go, 'he likes to go out, he likes to party' - and I do. I want to be able to live my life as well and enjoy myself, but there's a time and a place to do that. I'll be honest with you, I probably haven't picked the right times - sometimes at City, for example, I didn't help myself at times, I'll openly say that - but then I don't think it was all down to that. People say to me, 'what happened at City?' But I had two good years there. The first year I was getting used to everything, going there for that amount of money, the pressure and just getting used to the way the manager wanted to play and the environment. The second year we won the treble and it was an unbelievable year. I loved it. The third year, I put that down to myself really and I feel like I didn't do certain things right in that year."

Man Utd tipped to reignite £65m Branthwaite interest

According to the Daily Star, Jarrad Branthwaite is Manchester United's first choice option to replace 33-year-old Harry Maguire, whose contract expires next summer, but will face competition from bitter rivals Liverpool.

The Reds have earmarked Branthwaite as a potential long-term successor to Virgil van Dijk and could replace Ibrahima Konate who is being tipped to complete a Bosman move to Real Madrid next year. Yet, it is unclear whether Branthwaite would be keen to switch the blue of Merseyside for the red.

Madrid ready to offer €100m for PSG star

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid are determined to sign Paris Saint-Germain's midfield star Vitinha and are ready to shell out a whopping €100m to sign the player.

Vitinha's current deal at the French club runs until 2029 and it is unlikely that the European champions will negotiate a transfer for their star player.

Man Utd told to axe Amorim

Manchester United have been urged to ditch manager Ruben Amorim after yet another dismal defeat at the hands of Brentford on Saturday in the Premier League.

Former Chelsea star Joe Cole has urged the Red Devils to make changes in the team after the Brentford defeat, as he told TNT Sports, "There's something in the harmony of the whole club, the group. It’s the heaviest shirt in world football, because of how poor it’s been, and the history of the club, the expectations. The manager’s job first and foremost is to bring harmony and rejuvenate the culture. Whoever comes in has to fin a way to galvanise – first of all the players, we know there are some good players here – [but also] the club, the boards, the owner, the fans. They need a different direction."

Amorim opens up on pressure mounting on him at Man Utd

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim reacted to the pressure of his job after the Red Devils suffered yet another loss to Brentford on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters, Amorim said: "It is always the same to lose at this club, it hurts a lot. We need to think about the next one."

I do however, fully acknowledge that the results have just not been good enough up to now."

Done deal! Nuno to be named new West Ham boss

Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are reportedly keeping a close watch on River Plate’s rising talent Ian Subiabre, according to Calciomercato. Subiabre’s current deal runs out at the end of next year, but River Plate are determined to tie him down to fresh terms. The proposed extension would feature a hefty €100 million release clause to protect the club’s investment in their academy product.

Barcelona eye Guirassy as Lewandowski successor

Barcelona have reportedly placed Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy on their list of possible attacking recruits, according to Bild. The Catalan giants are assessing several targets as they prepare for life after Robert Lewandowski, who turns 37 this year.

The 29-year-old has become a key figure at Signal Iduna Park, and Dortmund are not eager to lose him. However, speculation persists that Guirassy’s contract includes a €70 million release clause, which could open the door for select clubs to trigger a move.

Arteta reveals Saliba’s response to Real Madrid links

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta confirmed he held a candid discussion with William Saliba after reports surfaced linking the French defender with a possible switch to Real Madrid. Arteta admitted he wanted to address the speculation directly, acknowledging that players often grow up with ambitions that may include such moves.

"I was quite direct with him," said Arteta. "When you hear that noise, you can understand people's expectations. People have feelings, they have been educated in their families, maybe dreaming about something one day. That's a really natural thing to have.

"I sat down with William and asked him that question. He said: 'No I want to stay here and play for you, I'm very happy as always.' That's great to hear."
It was reported on Thursday that Saliba has already settled on fresh terms with Arsenal, agreeing to a five-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2030.

After primary target William Saliba agreed a new long-term deal at Arsenal, Real have reportedly turned their attention back to Ibrahim Konate. The Liverpool defender's contract expires next summer, fitting Madrid's strategy of focusing on free transfers, but there is said to be internal debate at the club over the move.

Madrid are monitoring Konate with a view to signing him as a free agent in 2026, according to a report from ESPN. The Spanish giants have reportedly turned their attention to the France international after their primary defensive target, Saliba, agreed a new long-term contract with Arsenal.

Stones makes decision over Man City future

John Stones is ready to sign a new contract at Manchester City as Pep Guardiola's side attempt to extend the England international's stay. Stones' current deal expires in the summer but both parties are reported to be open to prolonging his time at the Etihad Stadium, as he continues to play a key role under Guardiola.

Per the Daily Mirror, City want to keep Stones at the club and are ready to open talks over a new contract. The England star's current deal expires at the end of the season but he remains a key member of Guardiola's squad, and he is now minded to remain at the Etihad. City chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak is said to be loathe to lose the defender on a free transfer in the summer, and the centre-back is hoping to receive a deal that will keep him at the club until 2028. He is 31, and is prepared to spend the rest of his career in Manchester.
