Man City Eye Move for Bayern Munich Star as Potential Long-Term Replacement for Rodri

Manchester City are reportedly considering a move for a Bayern Munich star Aleksandar Pavlovic, viewing the midfielder as a potential long-term replacement for Rodri in Pep Guardiola’s squad.

The 29-year-old looks to have finally fully recovered from the ACL injury that saw him miss a vast majority of the 2024-25 season, starting three of City’s five Premier League games so far.

Despite that, Pep Guardiola’s side are understood to be preparing for life without Rodri, who’s current contract is set to expire in June 2027.

According to SportsBoom, City have identified Pavlovic, 21, as a potential long-term replacement for the talismanic midfielder.

Pavlovic is under contract at Bayern until the summer of 2029, putting the German giants in a strong position to turn down any incoming offers.
