Torres pushing Barcelona to open new contract talks

Ferran Torres is waiting on Barcelona to make an approach about a new deal.

Torres struck twice in Sunday's 3-0 win against Getafe on Sunday to further confirm his outstanding form in the opening month of the new season.

Marca says Torres is waiting on Barca to begin talks about a new contract extension.

The attacker's current deal expires in 2027 and he is the only member of Barca's squad whose deal runs to that year.

At the end of last season, Jules Kounde and Raphinha also had deals running to 2027, but have since been offered and signed new contracts.

In contrast, Torres and his camp are yet to have been contacted, though there is a belief Barca want to hold onto him.
