Bayern Munich winger Diaz: I had conversations with Barcelona

Bayern Munich winger Luis Diaz admits he held talks with Barcelona before leaving Liverpool this summer.

Diaz was close to joining Barca, though the Catalans found Liverpool's asking price too rich.

The Colombia international recalled: "Yes, there were conversations, as there are throughout the transfer market.

"That's what always drives the market, but I'm very calm about that decision. I decided objectively about what was coming for my future. It was very important.

"I've joined a great club and a great league. It's a great group, a great family."

Diaz left Liverpool for Bayern for a fee of €75m.
