Lloyd Kelly matches Gerald Hitchens’ 63-year-old Serie A record for England

Lloyd Kelly has matched a remarkable 63-year-old Serie A record for England, becoming only the second English player to score in a league clash between Juventus and Inter Milan.

The Bristol-born defender opened the scoring for the Old Lady as they narrowly edged their cross-city rivals 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller on Saturday evening.

The last Englishman to achieve this feat was Gerald Hitchens, who scored twice for Inter Milan during the 1961-62 season across the first and second legs.

Kelly joined Juventus on February 3, 2025, initially on a loan with an obligation to buy. Three months later, the club made the move permanent for €17.5 million, plus performance-based add-ons.
