Nottingham Forest and Chelsea were understood to be keen but never made an official offer for the dynamic winger.

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Man United did make an offer, but with the clock ticking, were unable to get it over the line.

It’s understood Fofana was interested in a move to Old Trafford, but never received any indication from his father/agent that it was possible.
