Forgotten England star Oxlade-Chamberlain linked with Birmingham
Marcus Rashford's Barcelona future has been thrown into doubt by reports suggesting the club want to cut short his loan and send him back to Manchester United – but respected journalist Guillem Balague has now dismissed those claims. The England forward, who moved to Barca after falling out of favour at Old Trafford, has made a slow start to life in Spain amid strong competition for places in Hansi Flick's attack.
Rashford has managed three La Liga appearances so far, but only one start, against Levante, where he was substituted at half-time. Reports from El Nacional have claimed Barca chiefs see him as "shy, imprecise and lost" and have been weighing up an early termination of his loan. Such a move would reportedly cost Barcelona around £4 million; however, Balague has now rubbished the reports.
Forgotten England star Oxlade-Chamberlain linked with Birmingham
Former England star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be in line to make a shock move to Birmingham City.
The former Arsenal and Liverpool midfielder is currently without a club after leaving Besiktas and has emerged as a target for the Tom Brady-backed Championship club. Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has seven goals in 35 England caps, would prove quite the coup for the high-spending Blues. According to Football Insider, both Birmingham and Leeds could make a move for the out-of-contract player.
Onana agrees to join Trabzonspor on loan

Andre Onana's nightmare career at Manchester United appears to be over after the goalkeeper agreed to join Trabzonspor on loan.
Onana has agreed to move to the Turkish Super Lig with Trabzonspor in a move which could see the goalkeeper double his wages. The Athletic reports that the Turkish club will cover Onana's entire salary and offer the goalkeeper the chance to earn a series of bonuses. These bonuses could see the goalkeeper earn twice as much as he was earning at Old Trafford. The deal does not include a fee or an option for Trabzonspor to buy.
Barcelona see Kane as 'ideal option' at affordable price
Barcelona are weighing up a sensational move for Harry Kane in 2026, with reports in Spain suggesting the Bayern Munich striker could be available for as little as €40 million (£35m). Deco considers the England captain an "ideal option" to replace Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires that summer, making the low-cost swoop a realistic possibility.
Lewandowski's deal runs out in June 2026, and Barcelona are already preparing for his exit. Kane, who will turn 33 that summer, is seen as the perfect successor thanks to his proven pedigree. As per Catalan outlet El Nacional, the most attractive factor, however, is the expectation that Bayern will lower their demands to around €40-50m (£35-43m/$47-59m).
Why Onana loan transfer to Trabzonspor is not guaranteed
Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana could be set for a move away from Old Trafford, with Turkish side Trabzonspor pushing to complete a loan deal before their window closes. However, the move is not yet guaranteed, as the Cameroon international is waiting to review the contract terms before making a final decision and Onana's future is still uncertain.
Trabzonspor are eager to register him in time for their September 14 clash with Fenerbahce, but the move still depends on the goalkeeper's approval, as per The Athletic.

Barca star ready to sign five-year contract
Barcelona defender Eric Garcia is closing in on signing a new long-term contract, which will keep him at the Catalan club until 2029.
According to Sport, impressed by his versatility and his contributions with goals in crucial fixtures last season, the Blaugrana have decided to reward Garcia by offering him a new five-year contract. The club were planning on the defender's contract extension since spring, however, they delayed the process due to their ongoing financial struggle. Barca, though, are expected to present the new deal by the end of this year.
Revealed: Why Fenerbahce pulled plug on move for Bissouma
Fenerbahce were keen on signing Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma, but they have now pulled the plug on the deal.
Explaining why Fenerbahce are no longer interested in signing Bissouma, journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu has said: "Fenerbahce was going to sign Bissouma. But he has an injury problem. He has a trial (problem). He has a nightlife (problem). He is a very good player, but you have to take a lot of risks to transfer him. They put a whole sheet of paper in front of Ali Koc about the player's problems."
Bayern chief confirms Jackson will NOT join them permanently
Bayern Munich's honorary president Uli Hoeness has appeared to have confirmed that Nicolas Jackson won't join the German champions permanently next summer.
Speaking to Sport1 Dopa, the Bayern chief said: "The player and his agent contribute for €3m, so we pay €13.5m loan fee. There will definitely not be a permanent contract. That only happens if he plays 40 games from the start, it will never happen."
Chelsea ace reveals why he snubbed Saudi after Arsenal links
Chelsea man Andrey Santos has revealed that his goal to play for Brazil in the 2026 World Cup was a big factor in why he snubbed a Stamford Bridge exit this summer. Reports suggested that Arsenal were also interested in the 21-year-old but he was happy to stay with Enzo Maresca's side, rather than head to the Middle East.
Santos told Trivela, via The Mirror: "The offer [from Saudi] did arrive, but I immediately declined because of my dream and main goal, which is the World Cup. I know that being at Chelsea and in the Premier League gives me better chances than in Saudi Arabia. That was the main factor in my response to them."
