AC Milan’s Ismael Bennacer Seals Shock Transfer After Snubbing Saudi Arabia and Turkey

AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer has completed a shock transfer to Dinamo Zagreb, reportedly turning down lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia and Turkey in favour of the move.

The 27-year-old has joined the Croatian side on loan for the 2025-26 season, with Dinamo Zagreb having a chance to make the deal permanent next summer for €10m.

It’s understood that Dinamo Zagreb will pay 40% of his wages with parent club AC Milan agreeing to pay the remaining 60% during his time on loan.

According to a report from Italian outlet Calciomercato, Bennacer turned down several offers from Turkey and Saudi Arabia throughout the window.

Bennacer seriously fell out of favour at AC Milan, playing fewer games over the past two seasons (34) than he did in 2022-23 alone (40).
