Liverpool Eye 2027 Re-Signing of Former Player as Surprise Marc Guehi Alternative

Liverpool are reportedly preparing long-term plans to re-sign Jarell Quansah in 2027, with the move considered a surprise alternative to Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

Liverpool sold the 22-year-old to Bayer Leverkusen for a reported 335 million earlier in the summer to help fund their record-breaking spending spree.

They cleverly inserting a buy-back clause in the deal, however, which they’re already planning on activating in 2027, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Arne Slot’s side were desperate to add an experience centre-back throughout the now closed window, coming close to signing Guehi from Crystal Palace.

Guehi was understood to have agreed personal terms with Liverpool but Palace pulled out of the deal as they were unable to sign an adequate replacement.0
