'I would have to quit!' - Oliver Glasner Opens Up on Crystal Palace Ambitions After Marc Guehi Transfer Saga

Oliver Glasner has discussed his ambitions at Crystal Palace, admitting he would “have to quit” if certain situations—like the recent Marc Guehi transfer saga—complicated his plans.

Glasner has been a revelation since he joined Palace, securing the first piece of silverware in the club’s history with a 1-0 win over Man City in last season’s FA Cup final.

Palace then went on to beat Liverpool on penalties in the Community shield, with club captain Marc Guehi playing a key role.

Liverpool came close to signing Guehi on deadline day but the deal ultimately fell through when Palace were unable to sign a suitable replacement.

It’s understood that Glasner was the one that pushed the south London club to cancel the deal despite reaching a 335 million agreement with the Premier League holders.

In an interview with Weekend in his native Austria, Glasner has outlined his vision for the club.

"I always find something that can be improved," he said.0

"If I felt I couldn’t make any more of an impact, I would have to quit. There are always things to adjust, new players to integrate, and new ideas to introduce. That’s what makes the job of a coach so exciting – it’s a never-ending process."
