Former West Ham and Crystal Palace defender James Tomkins has backed Oliver Glasner to take the Manchester United job if Ruben Amorim is removed from his position in the coming months.
Speaking to Boyle Sports, who offer the latest Premier League betting odds, Tomkins said: "If the Man Utd job comes up I think Oliver Glasner is definitely a name that will be mentioned, and I believe he was linked to Bayern before. It will be interesting to see how that unfolds, because he's certainly going to be linked with the bigger teams. You're not just talking about keeping all the players at Palace, you're also talking about keeping the manager. It's a difficult situation. However, he's probably the most important of them all because of how he's changed everything there and how well we produce results in the biggest games. So, yes, he's definitely going to be linked with one of the big clubs."

Man Utd told to appoint Dyche after latest Amorim humiliation
Former Premier League star Charlie Austin wants Manchester United to appoint Sean Dyche as their next manager in place of Ruben Amorim.
Speaking on Sky Sports, the 36-year-old said: "If it's my decision, I am going after Zinedine Zidane. I'm trying to convince him to come to Manchester United. Shouldn't need doing, but at this moment in time, you do. Ultimately, though, there is a different set of managers that you have got to be looking at because of the situation that United are in. I would take Zidane, but is he the right man for the job at Manchester United [as we] speak at the moment and how we see them, probably not. My honest opinion is that you have to look at the jobs that Sean Dyche has done at Burnley, what he did at Everton. He stabilised the club, at least he is going to put structure in there. What Manchester United need right now is structure. That is something they do not have."
Sargent ready for 'big European leagues' transfer

I've said it a couple of times that I think he is one of the better forwards in the division. Whether it is the price tag that is putting people off, I'm not sure. He would be a great acquisition for many clubs in the Premier League, especially some of the newly-promoted ones. You look around and there aren't many No.9s, real No.9s. He is certainly one of the better ones in the Championship. I think Norwich will have a battle on their hands to try and persuade him to stay and see the season out with them."
