Chelsea prepare for 'bitter' war with Liverpool over Ngumoha

Liverpool and Chelsea are set to be entangled in a 'bitter' legal war over Reds sensation Rio Ngumoha. The teenager, who turns 17 this Friday, left the Blues' academy last year and joined Liverpool's youth system.

After his heroics at St James' Park, Liverpool are set to offer Ngumoha his first professional contract, which will be valid for one year, once the forward turns 17 this Friday. However, the Reds will enter a legal war with Premier League rivals Chelsea over a sizeable compensation fee for the youngster, according to The Telegraph.

Madrid step up Wharton pursuit amid Ceballos exit rumours

According to a report from AS, Real Madrid could step up their efforts to sign Wharton from Crystal Palace this summer, especially if Ceballos departs to join Marseille. Per the report, Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso believes that Ceballos' departure will leave the midfield without adequate depth, considering that Jude Bellingham will not return until October and Eduardo Camavinga having been ruled out until mid-September.

Liverpool youngster signs new contract

According to The Athletic, McConnell has put pen to paper on a new five-year contract with Liverpool and will soon head out to the Netherlands, where he will spend the 2025-26 season on loan with Ajax. The 20-year-old made his Champions League debut in January earlier this year and will link up with former Reds coach John Heitinga in Amsterdam.

The Guardian earlier reported that a frustrated Mainoo wants to leave United before the summer transfer window closes next Monday, after being frozen out by manager Amorim.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, several Premier League clubs, along with Madrid giants Real and Atletico, have shown interest in signing the United sensation. The clubs from the Spanish capital are eyeing a season-long loan move for the English midfielder.

Chelsea hoping to agree bargain £25m fee for Garnacho

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are hoping to negotiate a bargain £25 million ($33.7m) transfer fee with Manchester United for their out-of-favour winger Alejandro Garnacho before the summer transfer window closes. Garnacho is in Ruben Amorim's 'bomb squad' after his fallout with the manager following the Europa League final loss to Tottenham last season.

Sheringham told Snabbare: "I would definitely go with Sesko up front and Matheus Cunha just off him. Per the Guardian, Kobbie Mainoo wants to leave United after being frozen out by manager Ruben Amorim. He has struggled for minutes since returning from injury in December of last year, and he was also hit with a muscle injury that saw him miss seven games between February and April. Mainoo has not played for United this season and now, he is seeking an exit before next week's transfer deadline.
