Yoro's header gives Manchester United the lead
Emile Smith Rowe scored with his first touch as a second-half substitute as Fulham salvaged a 1-1 draw against Manchester United in the Premier League, avoiding a ninth consecutive H2H home league defeat in the process.
Having produced one of their better performances under Ruben Amorim in last week’s 1-0 home defeat to Arsenal, the Red Devils made another bright start on the banks of the River Thames against Fulham.
Matheus Cunha fired an early long-range strike inches over the bar before a neat attacking move involving Patrick Dorgu and Mason Mount culminated in the lively Brazilian sweeping an effort agonisingly against the base of the post.
United continued to look the more threatening of the two sides as the first half progressed, but Bernd Leno stood firm in the hosts’ goal, denying Bruno Fernandes and Cunha in quick succession.
Determined to make their pressure count, Amorim’s men were given a golden opportunity to break the deadlock when Calvin Bassey hauled Mount down in the box, only for Fernandes to uncharacteristically blaze the spot-kick high over the bar.
The early stages of the second period followed a similar pattern to the first, and the visitors took a deserved lead shortly before the hour mark when Bryan Mbeumo’s corner was flicked onto the back of Rodrigo Muniz by Leny Yoro and beyond a helpless Leno.
In response to that goal, Marco Silva introduced RaFAl Jim9nez and Smith Rowe into the game, and the latter made an immediate impact, latching onto Alex Iwobi’s cross to poke a clever finish past Altay Bayındır.

Match stats
With time ticking into the final 10 minutes, both sides went in pursuit of a winning goal, as Harry Maguire headed narrowly wide from close range for the Red Devils.
That was ultimately as close as either team came to snatching all three points, with Amorim and United forced to settle for a draw that leaves their under-fire manager with just seven wins from his first 29 league matches in charge.
